What: 2 Day Rock Climbing Clinic

This Guided Rock Climbing Clinic is geared toward people who want to learn to rock climb safely while improving skills. You will have the opportunity to challenge yourself on the rocks in a fun, supportive environment while learning skills to take your climbing to the next level. This is targeted towards people who want to gain hands on rock climbing experience and knowledge. This clinic is designed for first time to intermediate climbers who have a sense of adventure. No previous experience is required, however a basic knowledge of popular climbing knots is helpful.
We will meet at Stone Mountain Adventures (SMA) at 9am on Saturday, May 20th for a full day of climbing at Donation Rocks. Saturday evening we will have dinner in the SMA dining hall followed climbing stories and lore around the campfire. After a hot breakfast on Sunday morning the group will return to Donation Rocks to continue our our climbing training. We will return to Stone Mountain Adventures on Sunday evening for a 5pm departure.
Cost for this 2 Day Rock Climbing Clinic is $200
Donation Rocks is located right at camp and is the premier rock climbing area in central PA. Camp owners Jud & Anne Millar have worked with the Climbing Conservancy of Central PA (3CPA) and the to open this climbing area to the public. Rock climbers from New York, New Jersey & Maryland travel to central PA to climb Donation Rocks!
Donation Rocks is primarily a top roping climbing area with 3 main climbing walls each with 6 to 8 climbs each. The upper crag is locally known as "Camels Head Wall". The middle and tallest crag of the 3 is called "Shark's Tooth Wall". The lower wall and the on you see first as you drive into camp is called "Triceps Wall". Variety as they say is the "Spice of Life"
