We know you’re missing your campers—we feel it too. That first stretch away can be hard. But from what we’re seeing here, your kids are settling in, jumping right in, and doing really well at Stone Mountain Adventures.
Mornings start with energy and a little bit of silliness, thanks to “The Birdie Song” echoing through camp. It’s become our unofficial wake-up call and a fun way to kick off the day together.
After breakfast in the Rhino Dining Hall, campers meet up with their Crews—small groups they’ll stick with all session. It’s a short window each morning, but it goes a long way in helping everyone feel connected and part of camp life. These first few days are all about getting to know each other, with name games and team challenges. Today’s standout was “Pole Barn,” which definitely brought the laughs.
The rain rolled in today, and while the skies were a little gray, it didn’t slow us down much. We shifted gears, stayed flexible, and made the most of it—because that’s camp life. As someone said today, “rain may fall, skies be grey but smiles shine bright at SMA!”
We grabbed a few photos of each Crew to capture these early connections and smiles. Take a look—you’ll see what we mean:
