3rd Session 2016 is Off and Running!!

We are all So Excited that Third Session of SMA 2016 is finally here!  We are happy to report that all campers are settling into life at SMA quite well.

Here are some photos of all our campers in their "Morning Crew" what is morning crew you ask?  Each morning after breakfast and before morning activities campers gather in the "Crew" groups to do chores around camp including:

  • Dishes
  • Dining Room Clean-up
  • Grounds + Micro-Trash Pick-up
  • Trash and Recycling
  • Van Tidy
  • And one crew has "OFF" each day

This particular morning we were laying some "Get-to-know-you" Name Games before starting our morning jobs.

Please stay tuned for another update coming on our "All Camp Day"!

Horsemaster Campers also learn about stable management including:

Beginner riders develop skills and confidence and learn to be comfortable handling and caring for horses. Advanced riders are challenged on the flat, over fences, on the trail, or on lunge lines while learning new skills from seasoned Horseback Riding Instructors. Balanced seat is taught to all riders in order to develop a strong, effective seat doing flat work. Horsemaster riders may focus on jumping, cross-country, or dressage. This is a personalized and fun program and is limited to only 12 campers. Please note that campers not enrolled in the Horsemaster Program will have the opportunity to ride a horse during their time at SMA.  Horseback Riding Summer Camp
