At Stone Mountain Adventures (SMA), there’s a rhythm to each week—and one of the absolute highlights is All Camp Day. It’s a cherished tradition that gives campers and staff a break from the regular schedule and a chance to kick back, laugh hard, and create unforgettable memories together.
This week’s All Camp Day was one for the books. The theme? “The Millar Family Reimagined”—in honor of Camp Director Jud Millar—and our campers absolutely ran with it. Each cabin put their own creative spin on the Millar family, bringing hilarious characters, outrageous storylines, and plenty of inside jokes to life. After spending time brainstorming, rehearsing, and crafting their performances, cabins performed their skits right in their own cabins in front of the “Bunk Inspectors” and other SMA staff. And wow—were we impressed! From over-the-top family drama to wildly funny reinterpretations of Jud himself, the creativity and energy were off the charts.
But All Camp Day is about more than just skits—it’s a full-day experience designed to help our community reconnect and recharge. We started the morning with a late wake-up and a special breakfast—think donuts, bagels, and lots of good vibes. From there, it was time for cabin deep cleaning and skit planning. After lunch, campers headed out for afternoon activities, enjoying the sunshine and time together. Todays SMA activities include:
- SUP n Sail at Raystown Lake
- 18 Hole Disc Golf
- Mountain Bike Masters
- Fishing
- Tennis
The day will wrap up with our all-camp BBQ (always a favorite!) at the Redbud Shelter at Raystown Lake , followed by a special evening meeting where we introduced the SMAM Program—Stone Mountain Activity Masters. This exciting program encourages campers to try new activities and challenge themselves, all while working toward earning a coveted SMA water bottle. We will close the evening with Candlelight, a meaningful time to reflect, share, and connect as a camp family.
All Camp Days truly bring out the best in our campers—creativity, connection, laughter, and that unmistakable SMA magic. Whether they’re scrubbing floors, performing in skits, or just soaking up time with friends, they’re building memories and bonds that last well beyond the summer.
And the excitement doesn’t stop here—we’re all buzzing because tomorrow is our white water rafting adventure! We can’t wait for another day full of fun, challenge, and unforgettable moments.
