It has almost 2 full weeks since I attended the Keystone American Camping Association Conference at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, PA near Allentown, PA. I always feel like time helps to give me perspective on things and I'm able to understand my experiences better. This is certainly the case with the ACA Keystone Conference for sure.
"Never write about a place until you're away from it, because that gives you perspective" - Ernest Hemingway
I attended the some more incredible professional development sessions including:
Practical Approaches to Outstanding Customer Service at Camp
Jed Buck Meadowbrook Day Camp www.rozandjed.com
Build a Culture that will Fill Your Resident Camp
Dan Weir, Frost Valley YMCA
Free Tools to Optimize Your Camp Business
Rich Rinaldi www.lightsoutconsulting.com
"Playnote" Speaker: Dr Jim Cain
Definitely the most fun I had at the ACA Keystone conference was when attended to two workshops hosted by Dr. Jim Cain. Dr. Jim Cain is the author of 14 team and community building texts and is an expert at play. His sessions were interactive and fun and I learned a ton. I may even have a few more games in my bag of tricks.

For me the biggest benefit of the Keystone ACA Conference was getting to network with other Summer Camp Professionals. It was a way to continue to debrief the incredible Stone Mountain Adventures Summer of 2016 and start to prepare for SMA Summer 2017!
