Today we join the 7000 overnight summer camps and 5000 day camps in celebrating National Camp Day 2019!!
According to the American Camp Association ninety six percent of campers who attend camp say they made new friends. I can speak from personal experience when I say that 100% of the summer I spent as a camper at SMA I made friends. In fact, I still keep in touch with many of those friends more than 30 years later (yes, I am aging myself).
The American Camp Association also states that seventy percent of parents said their child who attended who attend camp gained self confidence (ACA Youth Outcomes Battery).
