🏕️ A kickoff like no other

We launched this epic week with our Belay and Swim School, equipping campers with essential skills to tackle all the adventures ahead. From mastering climbing techniques to perfecting their cannonballs, campers were set up for success from day one. And let’s just say, they were ready to roll!

⛰️ Epic hikes and majestic views

Campers have been exploring the breathtaking landscapes around us, hitting trails like the Rocky Ridge Hike and the stunning A Thousand Steps. The views have been nothing short of spectacular, making every trek a memory to cherish. Our visit to the Shavers Creek Raptor Recovery Centre was a highlight, as campers learned about local raptor wildlife (don’t worry, no dinosaurs here just the bird variety!).

🎖️ Masters programs: Going above and beyond

Our masters programs have been nothing short of a hit! The Bike Masters 🚵 have been tearing up the trails under the guidance of the one and only Mason ‘Hot Wheels’ Craig. While they’re still perfecting those backflips, there’s no shortage of big air and rad jumps on display!

Meanwhile, the Wake Masters 🚤 have been skimming across Raystown Lake like pros. With jumps that clear the wake and jaw-dropping 360s showcased on the kneeboard (and even a few 720s!), the energy on the water has been electric.

And let’s not forget our Rock Masters 🧗, who’ve given Spider-Man a run for his money this session with campers taking on the vicious Sharks Tooth traverse, the gravity-defying Triceps wall, and the infamous Damnation Wall – the ultimate test of grit and endurance.

🏈 Sports, swims, and so much fun!

With the temps soaring into the 90s, our sports activities have all included post-match swims providing a refreshing blast! Campers have been mixing it up with soccer, ultimate frisbee, softball and tennis. Each sporting outing’s been followed by a swim to combat the heat, including chill time in the icy waters of Greenwood (AKA Freezewood), the ultimate heat-buster!

🎨 Creative campers making art

Down in the art studio, creativity is alive and well! From crafting trail signs for new bike paths to painting benches and creating friendship bracelets, our campers are showcasing their artistic flair and individuality. It’s all about expressing themselves and leaving a mark on the Stone Mountain experience!

🌎 A global experience

We’re thrilled to have our group of Vietnamese campers here from the VIC camp organization who’ve travelled around the world to experience the American summer firsthand. They’ve loved indulging in classic American treats like cheesesteaks and popcorn chicken, all while keeping energized with a metric ton of fruit and vegetables which keep our campers well fueled for their adrenaline-inducing outdoor adventures.

🏃‍♀️Looking ahead: More adventures await!

As we wrap up this first week of Session 2, it’s time for a little tidying up and laundry before diving into even more adventures! Our teens are geared up for an exciting white water rafting day and ready to continue developing their teamwork skills.

So here’s to another week filled with laughter, challenges, and unforgettable memories! We can’t wait to see what’s in store as we strap in for more thrilling escapades. Stay tuned, and let’s keep the stoke alive!
