This Morning we played Pole Barn at SMA 2 Week Summer Camp!

Posted by Jud Millar on Wed, Aug 10, 2022

Today is the second full day of activities of SMA Session 4, 2022.  We started our day with pancakes for breakfast followed by a "crew" meeting outside the staff office.  We then sent our crews with tie crew leaders to s specific location in camp to play A super-fun icebreaker game called: POLEBARN!!

After that crew did their morning chores and then departed for morning activities:

  • Rock Climbing
  • Softball
  • Horsemasters
  • Softball and Swim
  • Wakeboat Fun
  • Mountain Bike Masters
  • Wakemasters

Here are photos of our crews (chore groups):

This summer has been the best summer of my life! There were awesome activities, some firsts. But there were even more awesome campers! I have never in my life met anyone as nice and friendly as everyone here! From day #1 to the dreaded last day of camp I had a smile on my face every minute of it because I was enjoying it so much! This is the best 2 week overnight summer camp ever. The counselors were just as much fun as the campers! And I have changed (in a good way) so much! Now all year I’ll be campsick!   I am holding in tears as I’m writing this because it seems like camp just started and we’re leaving!  Thanks again for the time of my life!

Wow!! The past three weeks have been amazing. This was my 2nd year but sometimes I didn’t even realize it. Horse Masters were great this year. They loved being around horses. The overnights were great too. Rock climbing, waterskiing, caving, ultimate, windsurf and sail were all great. The best things about this were seeing all of my best friends again. All Left Girls, Middle Girls, and Right Girls…all the boys too, and also meeting all the new campers. It was a great group. Everyone was adventurous and caring. Just about all I can write is, “Wow! J” I love every single one of you guys. This is a great 2 week overnight summer camp!  Good luck with everything! Have a great year and see you next summer!
